Summer in Ötztal
Alpine pastures instead of palm trees
Holiday season that gives you mountains!
250 three-thousanders form the grandiose backdrop for a summer resort of superlatives, with adventure and relaxation, with wild waters and calm lakes. With the new "Summer Card" active vacationers have exactly the right tool in their hands to experience the diverse highlights of the valley individually and inclusive.
Watch out, summiteers:
The Alps have a challenging new Haute Route - the Ötztal Trek with 22 stages and 15 variants, with 30,000 meters of ascent and 400 kilometers of distance. Not only experienced alpine mountaineers or trained climbers can follow the call of the Ötztal mountains, leisurely walkers or mountain bikers can also experience their very personal highlights in the Ötztal: 1600 kilometers of marked hiking trails and 860 kilometers of biker slopes stretch across the heights, the slopes and through the bottom of the Ötztal .
Landscape full of colors and contrasts
The longest alpine valley in Tyrol lays the mountain summer in all its diversity at its guests' feet on the 67 kilometers between the Ötztal motorway exit and the end of the valley with the largest glacier area in the Eastern Alps. The eight Ötztal villages of Haiming, Sautens, Oetz, Umhausen, Längenfeld, Sölden, Vent and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl all have their very own flair, appear sporty and chic, sophisticated or rural sedate, quiet and dreamy.
Tyrol's largest waterfall,
the Stuibenfall falls 159 meters near Umhausen. A walk along the waterfall path or scrambling on the via ferrata with foam and show effect on the torrent platforms bring a fresh summer feeling. The whole drama of wild mountain water can be experienced by adventurous white water sports enthusiasts on the Ötztaler Ache, in the Imster Gorge or on the Inn with trend sports such as rafting or canyoning, kayaking or canoeing.
The healing power of water
is used in the "Aqua Dome", in the Längenfeld thermal baths with fun and adventure pools for the whole family. You can just swim or fish in and on
Piburger See near Oetz, a true natural jewel and one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol.
